According to the National Institutes of Health's Office of Dietary Supplements (NIHODS), B vitamins are also marketed as "energy boosters," aimed at enhancing athletic performance and physical exercise capabilities."
-studies have been done however by some nutritionist and have claimed that B12 does not possess these amazing weight loss abilites.
- the only known facts about B12 are these: B vitamins contribute to red blood cell formation, hormone function and neurological functions. possibly heart functions & cognitive functions also.
- deficient of B vitamins and these are the effects: irritability, depression, confusion, mouth sores and inflammation of the tongue.
its silly to think that a mere vitamin or in other words "pill" could change our whole bodies physique. so loose weight the natural way and eat healthy, exercise and be happy. cheers!

Perhaps, there are many factors involving weight loss and maintaining it. Maybe they were trying to market B12 since it helps RBC formation, hormones, and heart fxn. Any increase in red blood cells like increased production of erythropietin would help during exercise.
